Moran has been chosen as a recipient of Lexology's 2017 Client Choice Awards in the Intellectual Property – Patents category in Wisconsin. The award recognizes law firms and partners around the world who provide exceptional client care and quality of service.

As a partner in the firm’s Intellectual Property Practice Group, Moran is a strategic advisor to clients on IP matters, including challenging the validity and enforceability of competitors’ patents, acquisition, enforcement, and defense of patents in the United States and internationally, and the preparation of validity and infringement options across several industry sectors.
Additionally, Moran has served in several leadership roles within the firm, including as a member of the Management Committee, Chair of the Intellectual Property Group, and leader of the Advanced Manufacturing Team. He is frequently recognized for his work, having been named a “Leader in The Field” by Chambers USA each year since 2013 and an “IP Star” by Managing Intellectual Property magazine for the past five years.
