Two Michael Best Lawyers Named to Power 30 Employment Lawyers List

Michael Best is thrilled to announce that two of the firm’s lawyers have been named to The Wisconsin Law Journal’s Power 30 Employment Lawyers list, in recognition of their exceptional client service and distinction as leading regional attorneys. The selections are awarded by the publication’s editorial team, based on recommendations from attorneys throughout the state, case results, and inclusion in the journal’s publications throughout the year.

The Michael Best lawyers named to the Power 30 Employment Lawyers list include:

Farrah N.W. Rifelj

Rifelj has served Michael Best in many capacities, currently as a partner in the Labor and Employment Relations Practice Group and as Lead for the group’s Affirmative Action sub-practice. She also served as a member of the firm’s Management Committee for six years, Co-Chair of the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee for four years, and as Associate General Counsel for three years. Her practice focuses on employment counseling and employment litigation, with a particular emphasis on discrimination, noncompetition, and Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP). Rifelj has successfully litigated discrimination, contract, family and medical leave, wage and hour, noncompetition and trade secret, and dealership issues in both state and federal courts. She also acts as a persuasive advocate before various administrative agencies. She is a regular speaker at industry seminars and has written numerous articles on employment-related topics.

Holly E. Courtney

Courtney concentrates her practice on labor and employment disputes and counsel. As a litigator, she mounts forceful and persuasive defenses before federal and state courts and administrative agencies on behalf of employers. As an advisor, she helps management develop and maintain compliant employee policies. In 2024, Courtney was recognized as one of Employment Law – Management’s The Best Lawyers in America©.
