Michael Best Strengthens Litigation Team with Addition of William R. Andrichik as Partner in Chicago Office

Michael Best is excited to announce the addition of William R. (Bill) Andrichik as a Partner in the firm’s Litigation Practice Group, based in the Chicago Office. Bill brings with him a distinguished track record of navigating complex commercial challenges and a wealth of experience litigating in both federal and state courts across the country.

Andrichik’s practice spans a diverse range of areas, including real estate litigation, indemnification claims, shareholder disputes, breach of contract, trade secret issues, business dissolution litigation, and mass and class actions. Known for his strategic insight and dedication to achieving optimal outcomes, Andrichik has served as first chair in trials in federal courts across the country, as well as various arbitrations.

Andrichik’s career spans nearly 15 years in private practice. Most recently, Andrichik spent a decade as a partner at an international, Am Law 100 firm where he counseled clients through commercial challenges. Prior, he was an attorney with Locke Lord LLP for four years.

Throughout his career, Andrichik has applied his expertise and counsel in assisting organizations in navigating potential disputes and litigating active matters, key highlights include:

  • Led a bench trial in the United States District Court for the District of Colorado on a commercial dispute regarding breach of a shareholder agreement.
  • Successfully first-chaired an arbitration in Illinois, addressing claims under the Illinois Uniform Commercial Code involving a retailer and a former vendor.
  • Represented a Major League Baseball team in a class action in the Northern District of Illinois, dealing with ADA compliance in online ticketing.

In his pro bono work, Andrichik has made significant contributions, such as representing individuals incarcerated in Illinois seeking improvements in the delivery of medical care within the prison system. He also contributes to the community as a Board Member of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society - Greater Illinois Chapter.

Andrichik holds a Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Michigan Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and English from the University of Notre Dame. He is admitted to the Illinois Bar, the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and the District of Colorado, as well as the First, Seventh and Eleventh Circuits of the US Court of Appeals.
