Within the firm, Valentyn exemplifies an emerging leader in the legal community by driving excellence across Michael Best's corporate and transactional practices. His practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions and other complex business transactions, advising companies of all sizes and across a variety of industries. He also assists clients with other general business and transactional legal matters.
Valentyn is deeply committed to understanding and aligning client business objectives with legal strategies, ensuring comprehensive support for growth and sustainability. Since joining the firm, Valentyn has been involved in several of the largest M&A deals Michael Best has advised on.
Alongside his professional prowess, Valentyn is unwaveringly devoted to community engagement and philanthropy. Notably, he serves as the Co-Chair of the Emerging Leadership Board for the UW Carbone Cancer Center, an organization he has supported for several years. Additionally, Valentyn has spearheaded fundraising efforts to support other Madison-based organizations, including the American Family Children’s Hospital and the McPherson Eye Research Institute.
Brett holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Wisconsin Law School and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance, Investment & Banking and Real Estate & Urban Land Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
