Overview

Andrew brings a background in computing to his role as a business-minded lawyer and Certified Information Privacy Professional – United States (CIPP/US) practicing at the intersection of venture, data, and technology transactions, intellectual property, and deal-making. He is experienced with advising private and public technology companies, emerging and high growth start-ups, and video game studios, developers, and publishers across the full spectrum of matters required to develop, commercialize, and distribute products and services.  

Andrew frequently supports clients with their legal and business needs, including handling commercial contracts, video game development and publishing agreements, inbound/outbound licensing, vendor agreements, professional services and master services agreements, development agreements, SaaS agreements, customer and end-user agreements, supply and distribution arrangements, partnership agreements, terms of service, privacy policies, data privacy compliance, consumer protection and complaints, formation issues, financing and venture capital transactions, corporate governance, employment matters, equity management, and more.  

Andrew enjoys navigating through the cutting edge of technology and innovation to provide counsel in areas such as privacy and data security and artificial intelligence. 

Before joining Michael Best, Andrew was an Associate at venture law firm O&A, P.C. with a commercial and corporate practice focused on technology and content. Prior to beginning his career in law, Andrew gained experience in the software and artificial intelligence industry, including spending a summer at Taiwan’s pre-eminent research university, Academia Sinica Institute of Information Science, where he worked on natural language processing models.
