Jordan is an associate at Michael Best, where she specializes in estate planning and wealth transfer strategies. She counsels clients on probate avoidance, complex family dynamics, and strategic wealth preservation, and is experienced drafting estate planning documents, including spousal lifetime access trusts (SLATs), irrevocable life insurance trust (ILITs), and intentionally defective grantor trust (IDGTs). Jordan also prepares complex gift, fiduciary income, and estate tax returns, coordinates real property and corporate documents, and administers probate estates.
Previously, Jordan was an associate at a Wisconsin-based law firm where she honed her experience in estate planning and marital property agreements, including negotiating and implementing prenuptial and postnuptial arrangements. Before that, she served as a contract administrator and in-house counsel at a manufacturing company, where she negotiated, drafted, and managed a variety of agreements, oversaw intellectual property matters, and collaborated with domestic and international stakeholders, including outside counsel. She also trained executives and sales teams on legal compliance and contract negotiation.
Earlier in her career, Jordan gained experience as a law clerk conducting legal research, drafting memoranda and court filings, and participating in client meetings. She began her legal journey at a Wisconsin-based law firm as an intern, serving as a Spanish/English interpreter and assisting with legal documentation production.
