Nate draws on years of legal experience to handle IP-related matters ranging from legal research and writing to patent preparation and prosecution. He assists in all aspects of United States and international patent prosecution, including initial review of United States Patent and Trademark Office documents, responding to actions and letters issued by the USPTO, filing PCT applications, coordinating prosecution of foreign patent applications with foreign associates, requesting necessary corrections to documents in U.S. patent applications, and assisting with chain of title/assignment matters. He regularly corresponds with firm clients and global associates to help manage patent related matters.
Nate has been with Michael Best since 2015. Prior to joining the firm, Nate worked as a legal specialist at a Washington, D.C.-based boutique IP firm starting in 2002.
