Overview

Pat is a Senior Advisor with Michael Best Strategies’ Government Relations team. 

Before joining Strategies, Pat formed Goss Ryan Consulting in 2021 after serving as Executive Director of the Wisconsin Transportation Builders Association from 2007 to 2021.  He served as executive vice president of the Wisconsin Asphalt Pavement Association (WAPA) from 2003 to 2007. He was the deputy secretary of the Wisconsin Department of Transportation prior to joining WAPA and worked for Governor Tommy Thompson from 1992 to 1995 as his transportation, tourism, economic development and utilities policy advisor.

Pat has served as deputy secretary of the Wisconsin Department of Tourism, president of the Wisconsin Sports Development Corporation and executive director of the Council of Small Business Executives for the Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce. 

Pat spent his first four years after college working in Washington, DC. While there he held positions working on Capitol Hill, for a communications consulting firm and at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission as an appointee of President George H.W. Bush.
