In recognition of her professional achievements and community involvement, Michael Best is pleased to announce that Betsy T. Voter has been named to Utah Business magazine’s Forty Under 40 list. Now in its 21st year, the highly competitive award spotlights up-and-coming professionals who are shaping the future of business throughout the state of Utah.

Betsy is one of the nation's leading broker-dealer and investment adviser lawyers. She advises clients, ranging from small firms to large institutional investors and major financial services companies, on compliance with federal and state securities laws as they apply to broker-dealers, investment advisers, and public companies. She has garnered a distinguished reputation as someone who understands the complexities of the securities laws and their adaptation to quickly evolving technologies and business models.

In addition to maintaining her robust practice, Betsy is a partner, management committee member, and chair of the Broker-Dealer & Investment Advisers industry team of the firm. Her contributions in these roles include enhancing the daily operations of the firm while also focusing on long-term strategic growth opportunities nationwide with senior leadership. Betsy’s talent is guided by her core values of kindness, respect, compassion, empowerment, and humility toward everyone she meets. She is also an officer of the Securities Division of the Utah State Bar and has been recognized in Best Lawyers in America’s “Women in the Law” and “Ones to Watch” lists, as well as Utah Business magazine’s Utah Legal Elite.

Outside of her work at the firm, Betsy spends her time raising her three little boys and serving her community through various board positions and community organizations.
