Michael Best announced today that Courtney G. Tito has joined the Corporate Practice Group as a partner. Tito will be based out of the firm’s Washington, D.C. office, focusing her practice on healthcare law.
As a trusted advisor with 20 years of experience, Tito counsels health law clients on regulatory matters, licensing, compliance, CLIA standards, state and federal fraud and abuse rules and regulations, and telehealth matters.

Tito has experience in federal and private payor audits and disputes, reimbursement issues, enrollment revocations, payment suspensions, internal investigations, compliance and regulatory counseling, and in responding to federal subpoenas and civil investigative demands. She advises clients in both federal and state matters.
Prior to joining Michael Best, Tito was a partner at a national full-service law firm. From 2006 to 2007, Tito served as a staff attorney for the Public International Law and Policy Group in Baghdad, Iraq, where she worked with legislators and the Federal Supreme Court advising senior ranking officials on drafting and implementing legislation, amending current legislation, and amending the constitution.
Tito received her J.D. from American University Washington College of Law, her M.A. from American University School of International Service, and her B.A. from James Madison University. She is licensed to practice in Washington, D.C., and Florida.
