Michael Best is pleased to announce that Kerryann Haase Minton has been named to the 2024 Notable Women in the Law list by Crain’s Chicago Business. Recipients are honored for making a measurable impact on cases they’ve handled and/or won, their mentorship to other attorneys and promotion of inclusive practice in the workplace, and their demonstrated leadership in professional organizations and community service initiatives. Minton was recognized specifically for her development of the firm’s brand in the Chicago market, contributions to the tremendous growth of firm revenue, and creation of a more collaborative and supportive culture, including implementing a “no jerks” policy at the firm.

Within the firm, Minton serves as the Office Managing Partner for the Chicago office, an elected member of the Management Committee, and Partner in the Labor & Employment Relations Practice Group. Because of her depth of knowledge and persistent commitment to their business goals, clients look to Minton for pragmatic, solutions-oriented approaches to employment matters. She is, also, an experienced and effective litigation strategist, and successfully defends clients in employment disputes at the federal and state levels. She uses her litigation experience to assess employment practices and to structure personnel polices to increase workplace productivity and minimize the threat of litigation.

Outside of practicing law, Minton is heavily involved in the community by actively serving in leadership positions on numerous non-profit and for-profit boards, including Big Shoulders Fund, Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) Chicago, Milwaukee Repertory Theater, and The Horton Group. She brings her experience and business acumen to help each organization grow strategically and hit their goals.

Minton earned her J.D. from the University of Illinois Chicago and her B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
