Michael Best Enhances Wealth Planning Practice with New Partner

Michael Best is proud to announce the addition of Eric Sanderson to the firm’s Wealth Planning group, specifically the Family Office Services sub-group, as Partner. He is based in the Denver office.

Sanderson is a seasoned attorney with a comprehensive background in legal, tax, trust, and financial strategies for high-net-worth families. He is set to amplify the firm’s capabilities in delivering exceptional service and strategic guidance to clients navigating the intricacies of wealth management and planning.

Sanderson’s expertise encompasses advising on legal and policy matters, including finance, equity investments, private equity funds, debt restructuring, contracts law, business transactions, estate and trust planning and administration, tax, mergers and acquisitions, real estate transactions, philanthropy, aviation, and corporate finance. He is also adept at drafting contracts, leases, wills, trusts, and loan documents across various business sectors.

With a career spanning from an attorney to holding leadership roles at one of the largest banking institutions in the U.S., Sanderson’s career is marked by significant contributions to wealth planning and family enterprise solutions. He has played a pivotal role in enhancing core private banking and wealth management services by integrating holistic planning, reporting, family governance, education, and philanthropy.

Sanderson earned his L.L.M. in Taxation from the University of Denver-Sturm College of Law; he had also held a position at the law school as Adjunct Professor of Estate and Gift Tax Law. He received J.D. from St. Mary’s University School of Law, and his B.S.B.A. in International Business from the University of Colorado-Boulder.
