Michael Best Welcomes Three Associate Attorneys

In the first quarter of 2025, three associate attorneys joined Michael Best in the corporate and Venture Best practice groups.

Carter Chojnacki joined as an Associate in the Venture Best practice group in the Madison office, where he focuses on corporate and transactional matters, catering to start-up, early-stage, and established companies. Before joining the firm as an associate, Chojnacki gained valuable experience as a Summer Associate at Michael Best. He collaborated closely with the firm’s transactional practice group and Venture Best® team, assisting clients with business formation, corporate governance, and venture financing matters. Chojnacki earned his J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School and a B.S. in Economics and Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Reese Leonard joined as an Associate in the Venture Best practice group in Austin, Texas. Leonard focuses on corporate and transactional matters, catering to start-up, early-stage, and established companies. Prior to joining the firm, Leonard worked as an associate in the finance group at a global law firm in Houston, Texas. He reviewed, analyzed, and drafted documents for various types of debt financings across multiple industries, including oil and gas, renewable energy, construction, and real estate. Leonard played a key role in closing financings with commitments totaling over $2 billion. He earned his J.D. from Baylor University School of Law and B.S. in Sports Management from the University of Texas at Austin.

Jordan Robinson-Delaney joined as an Associate in the corporate practice group. Located in the Milwaukee office, Robinson-Delaney specializes in estate planning and wealth transfer strategies. She counsels clients on probate avoidance, complex family dynamics, and strategic wealth preservation and is experienced in drafting estate planning documents, including spousal lifetime access trusts (SLATs), irrevocable life insurance trust (ILITs), and intentionally defective grantor trust (IDGTs). Robinson-Delaney also prepares complex gift, fiduciary income, and estate tax returns, coordinates real property and corporate documents, and administers probate estates. Robinson-Delaney earned her J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School, a Master of Business Administration from Concordia University, and a B.A. in Communication and Religion from Carthage College.
