Alex assists clients with a variety of regulatory issues, including those before state public utility commissions, environmental regulators, and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), He also helps clients on transactional and other business matters. Alex focuses his practice on renewable energy development and permitting. He began his career with Michael Best as a summer associate and joined the firm as an associate after earning his law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School.
While pursuing his J.D., Alex was a legal intern for Cook County Judge James McGing. In that role, he drafted case briefs, conducted legal research, and observed a variety of civil court cases and proceedings. Alex also gained experience as a student associate at the University of Wisconsin Law and Entrepreneurship Clinic, where he drafted corporate documents, including corporate bylaws, founders’ agreements, and IP agreements, while managing multiple small-business clients.
