Alex is a Principal with Michael Best Strategies. He helps clients navigate the Administration, Congress, and assists them in building strategic relationships with policy makers.
Prior to joining the Strategies team, Alex served in the White House Office of Legislative Affairs as Special Assistant to President Donald J. Trump. Alex worked as a direct liaison between the President and the House of Representatives. His main focus was facilitating policy discussion between Administration personnel and Members of Congress and working to advance the President’s legislative agenda. Alex was part of the team that worked successfully to pass the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, the VA Mission Act, and the FOSTA-SESTA Anti-Human Trafficking legislative package. In his previous role on the Presidential Transition Team, Alex supported incoming White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus by providing key logistical and communications assistance, including briefing the incoming Chief of Staff before Cabinet position interviews and media opportunities.
Before the 2016 Presidential election, Alex was Special Assistant to the Chairman of the Republican National Committee. During this time, he accompanied the Chairman to political and fundraising events across the nation, briefed the Chairman for media avails, and managed his daily schedule. Earlier in his career, Alex interned in the U.S. House of Representatives for the Energy and Commerce Committee.
