Davis is an Associate in Michael Best’s Litigation practice with a focus on bankruptcy and insolvency matters. He represents individuals and businesses in restructurings, receiverships, bankruptcy proceedings, and a range of other civil litigation matters.
Before joining Michael Best, Davis was an Associate with a Wisconsin bankruptcy boutique, where he represented individual and small business debtors in both bankruptcies and out-of-court workouts. Davis also served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Rachel M. Blise of the United States Bankruptcy Court, Eastern District of Wisconsin. In that role, he drafted orders and opinions on a wide array of topics including civil and bankruptcy procedure, non-dischargeability, and abstention doctrine. He also coordinated between chambers, Court staff, and volunteer attorneys in support of the Court's pro se help desk, and he continues to volunteer at the help desk today.
As a law student, Davis served as a judicial intern for the Honorable James D. Peterson of the United States District Court, Western District of Wisconsin and gained additional bankruptcy experience as a Law Student Intern with the United States Trustee Program. He also volunteered with his law school's Consumer Law Clinic and the Richard Dilley Tax Center.
Davis is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, the Eastern District of Wisconsin Bar Association, the Milwaukee Bar Association, and the Bankruptcy, Insolvency & Creditor's Rights section of the Wisconsin State Bar.
