Joe focuses his law practice in the area of wealth planning for businesses, organizations, and individuals. He counsels clients on matters involving wills, trusts, estates, powers of attorney, and marital property agreements. Joe also assists clients with tax planning, business succession planning, charitable planning, and other related considerations. This includes preparing complex trusts to help clients transfer wealth to future generations and assisting clients with business entity and private foundation creation and maintenance. Joe’s clients trust him for confidentiality as well as practical advice.
Joe also helped the Wealth Planning group at Michael Best by supervising the team’s transition to a new document assembly program. The new program in place allows the Wealth Planning group to more efficiently serve its clients in preparing base estate planning documents.
Before joining Michael Best, Joe was an associate in the Trusts & Estates practice of a full-service law firm, where he previously worked as a summer associate and law clerk. While attending Marquette University Law School, Joe served as a legal intern with the Internal Revenue Service and the Wisconsin Elections Commission. Additionally, he volunteered more than 120 hours of pro bono work to members of the community. Joe also participated in an international conflict resolution trip to Israel.
