Kyle is an Associate in the firm’s Intellectual Property practice. He focuses on obtaining high quality patent protection for companies in the U.S. and around the globe. Kyle helps clients protect a wide array of mechanical technologies, and he has significant experience in the automotive sector.
He gained experience as a Summer Associate with a Wisconsin-based IP boutique firm. There, Kyle drafted patent applications and office action responses, evaluated patentability, performed clearance searches, and assisted with IP due diligence assessments.
Prior to his legal career, Kyle spent six years as a Design Release Engineer for Fiat Chrysler Automobiles. He designed parts for cars, trucks, and SUVs, including suspension parts, powertrain and chassis mounts, fasteners, and other components. Kyle implemented design changes to enhance durability, thermal performance, and vehicle-level noise, vibration, and harshness performance. He collaborated with suppliers on design, sourcing, and manufacturing, and worked closely with manufacturing groups to identify issues and streamline assembly processes.
