Laura is an Associate in the firm’s Intellectual Property practice. She brings a technical background in computer science to her work in the preparation and prosecution of U.S. and international patents directed to computer software innovations.
Before pursuing her law degree, Laura worked at Michael Best as a patent engineer. Laura has experience helping clients pursue patent applications directed towards technologies such as:
- Artificial intelligence as it relates to autonomous and semi-autonomous vehicle systems
- Vehicle and industrial machine control systems
- Productivity software
- Cybersecurity technologies
