Paul is an Associate in Michael Best’s Litigation practice. He assists businesses of all types with a broad range of civil disputes, up to and including courtroom litigation. His experience extends to commercial litigation, insurance defense, municipal and school law, intellectual property litigation, labor and employment disputes, and construction litigation.
Paul began his career as an associate working at a full-service law firm based in Wisconsin. He represented defendants in various cases, handled all aspects of litigation from inception to summary judgment, conducted depositions, and drafted motions and briefs. Additionally, Paul worked as a summer law clerk for the same firm. He drafted summary judgment and appellate briefs in employment cases, motions in limine, and legal memos involving federal, Wisconsin, and OSHA regulations.
A skilled writer, Paul has been published in three different law journals on topics ranging from fair dealership law to the intersection of intellectual property law and pop culture. His most recent article on copyright and trademark infringement was published in the Chicago-Kent Journal of Intellectual Property, one of the top-ranked IP journals in the U.S. The article was also selected for inclusion in the Entertainment, Publishing, and the Arts Handbook, a series published annually by Thomson Reuters, recognizing the best law review articles related to entertainment and the arts.
