Overview

Jake is an Associate in Michael Best’s Corporate Group, assisting clients with a broad range of business and transactional matters. His practice focuses on counseling buyers and sellers in merger and acquisition transactions, real estate transactions, commercial contracting, and franchising.

Before joining Michael Best, Jake was an honors legal intern for the United States Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) in the Division of Corporation Finance. In this role, he reviewed documents filed by publicly held companies and filings related to mergers and acquisitions. He also assisted with several projects, such as conducting investigations of industry practices and drafting proposed statutes.

While pursuing his law degree, Jake also served as a legal intern for Penn State Law’s Entrepreneur Assistance Clinic where he assisted and counseled clients on entity formation and structuring, as well as drafting a variety of agreements, including operating agreements, stockholder agreements, restricted stock agreements, and more.
