Founded in Madison, Wisconsin in 2017, Trifecta has successfully served clients with health technology law matters, focusing on contract negotiation, technology licensing, digital health technology, and TCPA and HIPAA compliance. Outside of traditional legal counsel, the group also works with clients, particularly emerging businesses, on business advisory services related to SaaS platforms and sales strategy.

“The Trifecta team’s experience, coupled with both the law firm’s healthcare capabilities as well as Michael Best Strategies’ Healthcare Innovation Group, offers our clients a full range of strategic services– particularly in the health tech space—to address opportunities and challenges in the healthcare industry,” said David Krutz, Firm Managing Partner of Michael Best. “We’re excited to welcome these talented attorneys that have built a strong reputation in the health tech space.”

Trifecta has been uniquely successful by creating a fixed, monthly subscription model to better service their clients. This non-traditional business platform has allowed the Trifecta team to collaborate with their clients as a valued partner with an understanding of industry operations and by eliminating concerns with hourly rates and sometimes vague project budgets. This is an offering which will continue with Michael Best.

“The firm’s priority in expanding its work in the healthcare industry, combined with the growth and all-encompassing talent of the Michael Best family of companies, will allow our team to increase our offerings to our clients,” said Briggs. “We’re looking forward to joining the firm and working together to meet the evolving needs of healthcare companies alongside such a dynamic group of attorneys and professionals.”

The acquisition serves as another notable milestone in the firm’s strategic plan to diversify its offerings to clients, further positioning Michael Best to prioritize the focus on client service with highly skilled lawyers and professionals.
