Her defense practice covers a wide range of issues, such as premises law, catastrophic accidents, wrongful death, and professional liability claims.
"We are excited to have Becky join our growing Raleigh office," said Carrie Meigs, Managing Partner of the firm's Raleigh office. "Her reputation as an experienced and respected litigator is echoed throughout the legal community. She will be a great asset to our clients and our firm."
Prior to Michael Best, Thornton co-chaired the Litigation and Risk Management practice group at a mid-sized law firm. Outside of her practice, she is a member of the North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys and is actively involved with the Defense Research Institute (DRI), where she is a member of the Retail Hospitality Committee and the Insurance Law Committee.
