Ashley is an Associate in Michael Best’s Corporate practice, assisting clients with a variety of business and transactional matters. Her practice focuses on various aspects of corporate law, including mergers and acquisitions, contract drafting and negotiations, complex corporate restructurings, venture and entrepreneurial matters, and corporate governance. Ashley works collaboratively with other lawyers, financial advisors, and business executives to understand each client’s business objectives and provide legal guidance that aligns with each client’s goals and overall business strategy.
Before joining Michael Best, Ashley was an Associate at a full-service law firm headquartered in Milwaukee. There, she counseled clients ranging from major public corporations to early-stage start-ups. She spent several months on secondment working side-by-side with a global manufacturing client’s in-house team, assisting with a complex restructuring as well as a wide variety of other legal issues.
While pursuing her law degree, Ashley interned for the Wisconsin Court of Appeals. She worked as a pro bono volunteer at the Milwaukee Volunteer Legal Clinic and was inducted into Marquette’s Pro Bono Honor Society after completing more than 50 hours of pro bono work. She also served as president of Marquette’s Black Law Student Association and was the Midwest Black Law Student Association Regional Secretary.
